Elizabeth Hamma
Elizabeth Hamma is VP/General Manager of Palm Beach Broadcasting’s 97.9 WRMF, Sunny 107.9, 103.1 WIRK Country and X102.3, Beatz 96.3, 850 WFTL and 640 Sports. Hired in 2002 Elizabeth began her West Palm Beach radio career as WRMFs Director of Sales and was promoted to General Manager in 2006. Over the next 9 years, the company acquired six additional stations and created an event company – all of which Elizabeth currently oversees. Elizabeth developed the company’s on-air position “We live here too,” a motto she lives and breathes with her staff of over 100 every day.
During her tenure in the broadcasting field, Elizabeth has held several management positions in various markets including General Manager of Cox Radio’s cluster in Louisville, Kentucky; Director of Sales for Clear Channel’s WWWW/WDFN in Detroit, Michigan; and iHeart Radio’s cluster in Syracuse, New York.
A person who believes in community involvement, Elizabeth has served on the Palm Beach State College Foundation Board for more than a decade where she recently held the position of Executive Chair. Additionally, Elizabeth chaired the ALS Association’s 2011 and 2012 Walk to Defeat ALS, participated in several Susan G. Komen 3-day 60 Mile walks and is active in several other local organizations.
Elizabeth is passionate about mentoring, coaching and training. She currently serves as a mentor for South Florida’s Children’s Home Society Project 18, a program that mentors young girls living in group homes. She and her mentee have been together for nearly three years. Elizabeth is proud to share that her mentee will graduate in May and head to Palm Beach State College!
Elizabeth resides in Jupiter with her husband of 29 years. She has two adult children both of whom have joined her in the media field and a very special new granddaughter.
