Michelle Diffenderfer
Mrs. Michelle Diffenderfer is the President and a Shareholder at Lewis, Longman & Walker, P.A., a Florida environmental, land use and governmental law firm. Michelle assists landowners, businesses and governments with the various local, state and federal requirements for environmental permitting of land development and infrastructure projects. Michelle was born, raised and schooled in Jamaica, first moved to Florida at 16 to attend Miami Dade College’s Honors Program, then transferred to Brown University, and then University of Miami School of Law, graduating from all with honors. Michelle volunteers in a number of organizations dear to her, including the ABA’s Section on Environment, Energy & Resources; Leadership Florida Class XXXIII; the World Leaders Group Palm Beach Leadership Circle; Executive Women of the Palm Beaches; Northwood GREENLife; Rosarian Academy and Bethesda by the Sea Episcopal Church. Michelle previously chaired Girls II Women, The Environmental and Land Use Law Section of the Florida Bar and the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches. Michelle has been honored with several awards, including the Athena Award, the Girl Scouts Emerald Award for Environmental Leadership; the CaribbeanAmerican Democratic Club Community Change Maker Award and the Women Extraordinaire Award.
