Tricia McDermott Thompkins is acting General Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary for Perry Ellis International, Inc. in Miami, Florida, with broad-based responsibilities for managing the operations and budget of the legal department, including advising the CEO and Board of Directors in corporate governance, securities regulations, mergers & acquisitions, risk management, and other compliance issues. Ms. Thompkins simultaneously continues in her role as Vice President, Intellectual Property and Licensing Counsel where she counsels the business on the acquisition, maintenance, enforcement/litigation of a wide range of intellectual property rights, including trademark, copyright, anti-counterfeiting, and right of publicity.
